What is the medicine used for?
This medicine is used to relieve discomfort due to the accumulation of gas in the stomach and the intestines including sensations of bloating, pressure, fullness or stuffed feeling which can be caused by certain food (e.g., carbonated drinks, legumes, potatoes, infant formula, etc.), air swallowing, and dyspepsia.
For the relief of symptoms of excess gas associated with colic.What is in the medicine?
This product contains simeticone, a water-repellant with low surface tension used to relieve bloating and gassiness by causing small bubbles to coalesce to large bubbles, which are passed more easily. Chemically, simeticone is inactive and has no known interaction.
How much and how often should you use this medicine?
Shake well before use.
Age - Recommended Dose (Orally, 4 times daily, given after meals and at bedtime)
Birth to under 2 years - 20 mg (0.5 mL)
2 to 12 years - 40 mg (1 mL)
Or, as prescribed by physician.Fill enclosed dropper to recommended dosage level and dispense slowly into the baby’s mouth, toward the inner cheek.

Colic is a natural occurring condition in infants less than 5 months of age. It is a recurrent and prolonged periods of infant crying, fussing or irritability and may be associated with gassiness.
Infant colic is often associated with these symptoms:
> Long bouts of crying for no obvious reason
> Intense crying that seems like the baby is screaming in pain
> Persistent crying
> Difficult to console
> Crying that happens same time each day, usually at night
> Cold hands and feet
> Restless and fussy
> Tense tummy and clenched fists
Kids (2 years old and above) may also experience bloating and gassiness. This can be caused by: 1) Eating quickly and gulping; 2) Consuming fatty, oily, and starchy foods; 3) Restlessness and constant activity; 4) Increased soda and juice intake; 5) Lack of water intake
Simeticone (Restime®) works by lowering surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract leading them to coalesce and be expelled.
There have been no reports of undesirable effects after ingestion of simeticone. A very severe allergic reaction is rare. However, if you notice any undesirable effects, consult your child’s doctor immediately.
