Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS CoV).

A coronavirus can be transmitted between animals and people. In rare circumstances, the virus can quickly evolve and spread between people if left untreated.

Commons symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, and  difficulty in breathing. 

More severe cases can cause pneumonia and may even lead to death.  

There is currently no known cure for COVID-19, but its symptoms can be managed by medical experts.
